We keep this short because there is not much to say: we use the cookies needed to sign you in and keep the site secure, and we ask before setting anything else.
1 Your current choice
Optional cookies are only set once you have said yes. Until then, and if you say no, nothing beyond the strictly necessary ones runs.
You can change your mind at any time using the banner, which you can bring back by clearing this site's cookies, or from your account settings once you are signed in.
2 Strictly necessary
These make the site work at all. They cannot be switched off, and they do not need your consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| boothpost_session | Keeps you signed in and remembers your place in a form | Until you close the browser, or 2 hours idle |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects every form on the site against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| remember_web_* | Keeps you signed in between visits, if you asked us to | 5 years |
| consent_id | An anonymous identifier so we can remember your cookie answer and prove we asked | 1 year |
3 Analytics
Optional. These would tell us which pages are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate.
We are not running any analytics cookies at the moment.
The consent control exists so that if we ever do, it only happens for people who have said yes - and so that this page tells you the truth today rather than describing something hypothetical.
4 Marketing
Optional. These would let us measure whether our own advertising brought you here.
We are not running any marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers on the site.
5 Storage in your browser
Alongside cookies, we keep a few small values in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to us.
- · flux.appearance - whether you prefer the light or dark theme
Clearing your browser data removes these.
6 Controlling cookies yourself
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you being able to sign in, because signing in is what they do.
